This summer I purchased kits to make Save The Children hats. These kits are designed by Arne and Carlos where 12% of the proceeds go to Save the Children to support the work they do for children all over the world.
The hats were knitted from Ask ullgarn, 100% Norwegian wool yarn. I found the yarn lovely to knit with as surprisingly soft, yet sticky. I would so knit with this yarn again.
Seven hats were knitted this fall and winter for Christmas presents allowing the fun of trying out a variety of colors. I found the blue color to be my favorite. A 8th hat was also knitted from a baby hat pattern using the design idea from the adult hats.
