I have several event swag bags that bring back happy memories, yet they have no other purpose then to sit in the closet.
I saw the pattern “It’s a Cinch” by By Annie and decided to repurpose the nylon swag bags into a bag large enough I could put my pool toys to take to the pool using her pattern.
I opened up the seams to 2 of the bags and followed the pattern by adding mesh. Instead of making straps, I reused the cord from the swag bags. I am very happy how the bag turned out as the bag easily holds my fins, paddles, goggles, and cap. The swag bag had a zippered pocket which I kept and can also use to keep my car keys.
