I recently read The Aromatherapy Garden – Growing Fragrant Plants for Happiness and Well-being, 2016 by Kathi Keville. She provides so many ideas for grow plants with aromatic fragrances. I highly recommend checking the book out of the library.
In my garden I grow lots and lots of lavender. One problem with lavender is the plant can get woody over many years. Last year I dug up the 20+ year old lavender and replaced with 2 varieties. This winter I cut the lavender back to 12″ height hoping to give the plant more breathing room to grow this spring. I use lavender in soap. Sometimes I will make shortbread and add lavender. I recently experimented with a sleep pillow adding lavender, peppermint, catnip, and hops to a 6″ pillow.
